Magnesium bisglycinate is a chelate, which means that magnesium is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. This chelate is well absorbed in the body because it easily passes through the intestinal wall without breaking down. As a result, it has a high bioavailability and is one of the most absorbable forms of magnesium.

Although the carrier can make some difference in absorption and tolerance, the ultimate effect of the magnesium ion in the body is the same. The main goal of any magnesium supplement is to provide sufficient magnesium. The 'carrier' is an absolute secondary matter in terms of benefits and, in our opinion, not relevant.
