Ik heb de bestelling in goede orde ontvangen , het product honing proeft echt en heerlijk natuurlijk . De structuur is volop eerlijk en echt puur bijenhoning . Dank hiervoor , en ik zal zeer zeker voor de volgende keer weer bestellen .
Mijn all fave honing! Wij zijn hier altijd al fan geweest van honing om gerechtjes te zoeken of om hoestsiroop te maken. Wetende dat dit een rauw en onbewerkt product is geeft me een heel fijn gevoel. Ik doe zelfs over mijn vlees een drizzle van de honing . (De pot is al half leeg 😛)
Ik gebruik deze pure bloemenhoning inmiddels elke dag en ben er echt blij mee. De smaak is lekker zacht en natuurlijk, zonder dat hij té zoet is. Je proeft gewoon dat het echte honing is.
Wat ik fijn vind, is dat het een puur product is zonder onnodige toevoegingen. Ik doe het graag door mijn yoghurt, in een kop thee of soms gewoon een klein lepeltje zo.
Sinds ik bewuster met voeding bezig ben, probeer ik zoveel mogelijk voor pure producten te kiezen en deze honing past daar perfect bij. Lekker van smaak, makkelijk in gebruik en een pot gaat ook nog eens verrassend lang mee.

De bloemenhoning van RealRoots heeft een lekkere zachte smaak en is een fijne vervanger van suiker in de koffie en gerechten die een klein zoetje nodig hebben.

Wederom een top product! Ik was al een tijdje op zoek naar échte rauwe honing, dus toen ik dit product zag heb ik geen moment getwijfeld en meteen besteld.Je proeft gewoon dat dit geen standaard honing is. Superlekker en echt top weer!

Ik heb al best wat honing geprobeerd, vooral eigenlijk uit de supermarkt, en dat was echt troep een hapje suiker en niet voedzaam . Ik silde een onbewerkte. en ging ik naar bio winkels, daar koste het een tweede hyptoheek maar was echt lekker. En toen zag ik deze en ik gebruik al lange tijd de supplementen waar ik echt van onder de indruk was door het snelle herstel wat ik ervaard na blessure. Dus ik bestelde ook uit nieuwschierigheid deze honing. maar damn… deze is echt anders! Je proeft meteen dat het puur is en kwaliteit .. zo vol van smaak. Heerlijk over mn lappie vlees.
.. De structuur is stevig, niet waterig, en hij kristalliseert mooi. Dat wist ik eerst niet, maar dat blijkt juist een goed teken te zijn.
Het is gewoon een puur en eerlijk product, en dat voel je met je tong aan alles . Fijn dat ik het makkelijk kan bestellen, want in de buurt is het niet altijd te vinden.

What is the difference between raw and regular honey?
Raw honey is not pasteurized and not industrially processed. This preserves the natural enzymes, antioxidants, vitamins, and pollen. Regular honey from the supermarket is often heated and filtered, causing many of these nutrients to be lost.
Why don't you sell Dutch honey?
We are fans of local honey, but in many parts of the Netherlands there is little supply and it is often quickly sold out. Supermarket honey is usually heated and processed. Our Spanish honey is a pure and honest alternative for those who find it difficult to get good honey locally.
Why does this honey crystallize so quickly?
Crystallization is a natural process in genuine raw honey. It proves that the honey has not been heated or diluted with sugar syrup. You can easily make crystallized honey liquid again by gently warming the jar au bain-marie (below 40 °C).
Is the honey tested before it is sold?
Yes. Each batch is tested in advance for nutritional value and purity before it is packaged and sold. This way we are sure that the honey is rich in enzymes, antioxidants, and contains no unwanted substances. Only honey that meets our quality standards goes into the jar.
Is this honey suitable for children?
Honey is not recommended for children younger than 1 year, due to the (small) risk of botulism. For older children and adults, raw honey is safe and nutritious.
Does this honey really come from Spain?
Yes, our flower honey is 100% sourced from reliable beekeepers in Spain. We do not use blends from multiple countries and avoid 'non-EU' origin. Transparency and quality are our top priorities.
Is your honey organically certified?
Although the bees collect their nectar in untreated natural areas in Spain, it is impossible to exactly control where they fly. According to European regulations, the environment within a radius of 3 kilometers around the beehive must be completely organic. Because this honey comes from wild flowers in open nature, the official label is missing — but the quality is no less
How do I best store raw honey?
Store the honey at room temperature, in a dry place and out of direct sunlight. The honey does not need to be refrigerated – that actually speeds up crystallization. Properly sealed, it remains good for years.
How do I know for sure that this is not supermarket honey in a nice jar?
Good question – and that is exactly why we only work with small-scale beekeepers, without intermediaries or anonymous bulk imports. Our honey is not heated, not mixed, and is tested for nutritional value. What you get is what the bees make.
Is this honey raw and cold-extracted?
Yes. Our honey is not heated or filtered. That means the enzymes, minerals, pollen, and antioxidants are preserved. It is a pure natural product, just as honey is meant to be.
Are supplements such as sugar water used?
No. During the production period, the bees do not receive sugar water or artificial feed. They get their nutrition from what nature provides them. Only if it is really necessary outside the harvest season (for example in winter), is responsible supplementary feeding given to keep the colony alive — a common and careful practice in beekeeping.
What is the difference with organic honey?
The differences are mainly in the label, not necessarily in the method. Organic honey must meet specific EU requirements such as:
No intensive agriculture or industry within 3 km of the hive
Strict certification of the area
Our Spanish honey comes from pristine areas but does not carry an official EU organic label. The quality and purity are comparable or even better, as there is minimal intervention and the honey remains raw.
Can I use this honey for histamine sensitivity or allergies?
Some people react more mildly to honey from the region where they live, due to exposure to local pollen. That does not mean that Spanish honey is bad — but people with a (severe) pollen allergy can sometimes react more sensitively to non-local honey. Unsure? Then start with a small amount and observe your reaction.
What are the red dots in the honey and is that safe?
In raw, unfiltered honey there are always natural components, because the honey is not industrially processed.
The red/brown specks are usually:
Pollen grains from flowers (some types are red/brown in color).
Propolis or resin particles that the bees carry.
Sometimes a small piece of wax from the comb.
Is it safe?
Yes, this is completely normal and actually a sign that the honey is truly raw and pure. In filtered supermarket honey this is removed, but then you also miss many of the natural ingredients.
